Message as it relates too air speed - one can assume that you have more or less air mass passing the MAF sensor.

someone keep me honest here :

I assume that with no accelerator input ( meaning Z is rolling at speed ) , the MAF voltage will be different at say 70 mph vs idle.

The air velocity is higher at 70mph than at idle. There is a relationship to air velocity and the amount of air mass entering the Z moving at speed vs sitting at idle. If I understand it right, air velocity doesn't affect air mass but there is a relationship between the 2.
